As we move into the final month of Summer, I gravitate back away from crisp white wines to fresh, lighter reds, and there is one wine which perfectly captures the diversity of this transitional season: Pinot Noir.

Nothing says summer to me like crisp rose by the water, and nothing is more refreshing than a slightly fizzy Vinho Verde rosato. And even though I generally prefer whites or rose during warmer months, its nice to crack open a bottle of soft, fruity red like unaged Tempranillo.
