About Marcarini
The Marcarini family has been cultivating vines in La Morra of Barolo for near 200 years. They we among the first to separate different wines by crus, or vineyard plots. Today, the family produces exceptionally traditional Barolo in addition to Dolcetto, Barbera, and Moscato.
Why I am excited about this wine
As previously mentioned, Barolo has consistently demanded high prices and are some of the most long-lived red wines. To find a bottle that expresses traditionally produced Nebbiolo that is so approachable at such a young age and retails under $100 is incredible, yet Marcarini has done so with their new La Morra bottling aimed at expressing their small region of Barolo.
