Wheat whiskey + straight bourbon mixed in one beautiful bottle… say hello to Huling Station.

OLD DOMINICK HULING STATION
[VERY SMALL BATCH]
BLEND OF STRAIGHT WHISKEYS

DISTILLERY: Old Dominick Distillery

LOCATION: Memphis, TN

PROOF: 100%

MASH BILL: 50% of Huling Station Straight Wheat and 50% Huling Station Bourbon

NOSE: Earthy and oaky but with a wee bit of… honey + chocolate? That’s mostly the wheated bourbon you definitely get. Take a moment to smell your hand so the alcohol isn’t the only thing you notice.
PALATE: Medium body with a noticeable barrel influence. (Hello, vanilla!) You’re also greeted with a sweetness.

FINISH: Boozy warm finish… but in a good way.

ADD WATER: Much smoother on the palate, but you’ll still catch the heat on the finish.

RECCOMMENDED SERVING: Neat (if you’re into that - especially in the winter), with a few drops of water (if you prefer a bit more sweetness vs. earthy), or in a Bourbon Smash or Old Fashioned (if you’re making your own cocktails).

RECCOMMENDED CIGAR Pardon 1926 Natural #9 or Diamond Crown Maduro #5

FROM OUR FRIENDS AT LEATHERWOOD CIGARS

PADRON 1926 NATURAL #9This pairing is focused on balance. The light notes of cashew, chocolate, and pepper emphasize the sweeter characteristics of the bourbon. The leather in the aroma of this cigar plays beautifully with the earthy nose of the whiskey.

DIAMOND CROWN MADURO #5Fair warning… this is an adventurous pairing. This cigar has notes of cedar, black pepper, sweet chocolate, alongside an earthiness that compliments the strength of the blended flavors. Select this one if you tend to gravitate towards wood + spice cigars… but look for a fun black coffee finish!

WHY WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS WHISKEY

First of all, it’s good.

Secondly, everyone enjoys a good story when they open a new bottle.

Old Dominick is named for Domenico, who was an Italian Immigrant with a grocery store + distillery. During prohibition, the mash bill for his famous “Dominick Toddy” was lost.. but never forgotten. When an unopened bottle was found in 2013 (dating back to the 1800s) the family used technology to re-invent the recipe, and then reinstated the brand started by their great great grandfather.

Cool, huh?
