THE DISCOVER CLUB - November 2020
Gramercy Cellars was inspired when Master Sommelier Greg Harrington fell in love with Washington wines. His goal, with his wife Pam and partner Brandon Moss, is to create unique wines that show a true sense of place, exquisite balance, and most of all, compliment food.
Their focus began surrounding Rhone varietals, and they quickly gained their place at the top of Washington’s wine scene. Now, they have added on a line of Bordeaux varietals and continue to gain accolades and acclaim.

WHY WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS WINE
Syrah often gets a bad rap in the US. To many California wine drinkers, a good Syrah should have robust body, gripping tannins, and dark fruit flavors with spice. (…In other words, it should taste like Cabernet.)
However, if you’ve ventured into the harder to pronounce French wines of Cote-Rotie and Hermitage, you’ll have a new appreciation for the misunderstood grape. Savory! Meaty! Spice! No soft baking spices from oak. Instead, think freshly ground black pepper with dark fleshy olives and dried jerky. Basically… delicious.
